Soft and gentle, intriguing and regal, this lush and exoticly affected grade 4 composition attempts to evoke the feelings of those observing the setting sun throughout the large and varied country of Brazil.  The bossa nova which was born here makes use of unexpected syncopation, muted trumpets and the occasional polytonal harmony.  A single trombone solo maybe be extended or shared depending on the capabilities of the ensemble involved.  And as for the piece itself, this one will certainly strike a chord in the hearts and minds of everyone.  Enjoy!
